Photographer: Marc Hodgdon
DESCRIPTION:
Lamp pole 4 on the ground.
KEY NOTES:
Notice the height that the pole was clipped. I would estimate 15-18 feet. You can see its position in reference to the sign in the back that
crosses only half the lanes of the highway.

Photographer: U.S. Army, Staff Sgt. Carmen L. Burgess
DESCRIPTION:
"Interstate 395, Virginia's main artery into the Pentagon and Washington, is closed off
Tuesday following the crash of a hijacked plane into the Department of Defense headquarters allowing helicopters to
evacuate the injured."
KEY NOTES:
There is some debris in the road. Helicopters have been in and out which
might account for some of the lighter debris. You can see the taxi on the right hand side from a different angle.
I would estimate it is 400-450 feet away. The extreme distortion in perspective is due to the foreshortening
effect of the telephoto lens.

Date: 9/12/01 or after
Time: unknown
Photographer: Congressman George Radanovich (or his staff)
DESCRIPTION:
In the background of the Congressman's other photos is the large flag on the building
that was put up on 9/12/01. This was taken sometime after that.
KEY NOTES:
A view of pole 4 from the other side.
